Our Little (read: BIG) Boy!

So it has been almost one year since our last blog post.  We now know two things for sure...

1.  We haven't been the best bloggers since the holidays last year.  (Obviously)

2.  Matty is no longer the little baby boy he was when we last entered the blogosphere.

In Michelle's words, Matty is a love.  He has grown so much in the past year and is experiencing the world in such a beautiful way, we are simply honored to be his parents.  

• He is kind and caring...with a natural empathy that shines through in such tender ways.  
• He is stubborn and determined...with an ability to manipulate and connive his way into almost anything.  (This might be more my fault than his.)
• He is playful and competitive...with the perfect Steffenhagen answer to the question, which sport are you going to play?  Answer (without hesitation): Baseball.  Even while watching football.
• He is funny and bright...with the ability to simply make a face and have us all in stitches.  

Some of the best moments of the past year have been playing trains, going to Lee sporting events, watching Woody and Buzz, listening to Mumford, Gungor, Coldplay, and The Brilliance, singing songs with mommy, wrestling with daddy, and visiting family!

There is so much that could be said...so there is bound to be more to come...sooner rather than later!
